Well, this is turning out to be a week of weird, off-key happenings that quite frankly discomfit the inner synapses.

Starting with the most recent bygones, Hans Reiser has been convicted of first-degree murder, in circumstantial evidence. There’s no mention of it being a unanimous verdict but apparently he pissed off the Judge and Jury by acting “arrogant” and getting his knickers in a twist. A Möbius loop of the underpants beguiled his appearance enough to leave a bad impression….

Devoid of posts for a while, I’m now filling up the space with a bit of ramble about my happenings since last. I’ve not had an active writing episode in a while, due to scholastically related tensions – most of my undisclosed thoughts (brainfarts like, is “undisclosed” bordering on a triple negative?) have just been floating around…

So I set myself a mission to overcome firewall restrictions for full ‘net access through the university campus connection. There’s nothing in the ToC that explicitly says you’re not allowed to tunnel out of their arsey setup. It first started to peev me off when I was unable to watch FLVs at a reasonable connection speed, due to some packet inspection and IP buckets placed to snare addicted YouTubers. I’m not partial to youtube overdoses, but I do like to see some online video without being transported back to the days of endless RealMedia-esque “buffering…”
