If you get this error unexpectedly, check your types, and check your types again.
Also, don’t be a noob like me and remember to #include <stdbool.h> before wasting half an hour shovelling queries into google while the problem stares you in the face.
Such joy and rapture emblazoned by quizzical compiler errors, how do I love thee, let me count the ways… or perhaps I’d rather not be sent on a wild goose chase and just BE TOLD WHAT THE F@!#ING PROBLEM IS.
You’d have thought the most mature of compilers would’ve evolved it’s error reporting capacity somewhere along the way. And I’m sure there’s perhaps more than one C programmer who aligns with that sentiment. Almost certainly there’s twice as many that don’t, otherwise it would’ve been fixed by now.
Semantics rant aside, C is great.
