Welcome to a place that fills the interstice between the machinations of a mind and the pixels on your monitor.
How pretentious does that sound? Not intending to appear so, but it’s hard to bubble through the process of scribbling in the ether without falling into that one.
Some of these blogs might read like sherbet-dipped caramelized vanity. Pray forgive me if that slips through, but offering a slice of sincerity in creative writing might be enough to justify it…
Blogmaking has always been one of those activities I’ve avoided because of an inexplicable inability to convey ideas in perspicuity. The ideas here are mostly technical speculation, or otherwise documenting both pleasant and unpleasant forays into technical domains.
The formation of opinions is another reason to avoid the “blogsphere”. Although it occurs to me that this might be the cornerstone of the whole operation, it’s almost too easy to spout prejudice over nameless, faceless jottings. I’m as guilty as they come sometimes, but I lend myself to dodging negativity in these matters if at all possible. In a way, that thought is also a disclaimer for anything offensive herein.
Ultimately I hope some of the writing on here saves people some time and effort finding out otherwise obscure stuff for themselves. Maybe even the more hypothetical sophistry might join a few dots.
There’s also a collection of rubbish purely from my own musings. Sifting through it might amuse or bemuse, I don’t mind how the affectations the reader interpret the content.
If you find anything here that’s perpetrated as fact but is, in fact, rubbish (with especial regards to articles on programming) then please contact me so I can correct it. Shared knowledge is the best kind =)
